Inscribe the Word . . . February Scripture Writing Plan.
It is February! The month of LOVE. The month where we focus on loving each other and loving each other well. Whether you are married, dating, engaged, or single, the Bible has so much to say about LOVE that has nothing to do with commercialism, candy hearts, and roses. The love of Jesus is eternal, and the love we should have for each other is clearly spelled out in the Word.
What is INSCRIBE THE WORD?
Scripture writing has become a key way that I study the Word of God. You can read more about the purpose behind INSCRIBE THE WORD here.
The word INSCRIBE means, "write or carve (words or symbols) on something, especially as a formal or permanent record." Let us not just write the words in our journals to put on the shelf. I pray that we don't make this Bible Study just a ritual or burdensome "to-do". I want to CARVE THE WORD on my heart. I want it to permanently change who I am. I want it to be a permanent reminder of who God is and what He has done.
I want my heart to be like God's personal journal, where He can Inscribe His words to me making them permanent with each stroke of his pen. If He can write my name on the palms of His hands, then I want Him to write His words on my heart. (Isaiah 49:16)
EMBRACING LOVE
How blessed are we that we have been given the gift of LOVE? Yet, so many of us reject love. Maybe we have been hurt in the past, or maybe we have simply given up on loving or finding love. I encourage you this month to not give up on love, but to EMBRACE LOVE and love like Jesus does. I am so happy to release the February 2017 Scripture Writing; LOVE LIKE JESUS.
The Scriptures are so full of verses about love. Loving God and Loving Each Other are the key to this months Scripture Writing Plan.
Don't give up on LOVE, and don't fall to societies idea of what love is. Love covers a multitude of sin, and love never fails. (1 Peter 4:8 & 1 Corinthians 13:8)
